We are a group of crew based at LTN, all of whom have been affected by cancer in one way or another.

Earlier this year, we lost a long-standing colleague, Gill Kinsella, after her long and brave battle with cancer.  Her wish was that donations be made to Cancer Research UK in her memory, so we have decided to do the Shine Night Walk to honour this. I am personally also walking in memory of my lovely sister-in-law Elaine Tolman and my old friends Alan Jones and Tony Foley.

The Shine Night Walk is a challenge for most of us walking a half marathon– some, shall we say, not so active; some recovering from injury; some who normally just walk with the dog and some who will have to be kept away from all the pubs en route!!

So, we are fundraising for Cancer Research.  Every bit of money raised will help in one way or another, be it continue funding helplines or research projects, develop new treatments and research, or many of the other ways that Cancer Research UK is helping in the fight against all types of cancer.  Please dig deep and help us beat our target.

We will keep you updated how our ‘training’ is going and how we get on with the main event.  Thank you for your support.
