Hello, my name is Mike, and in 2011 cancer tried to take me, but I have survived thus far. Devastatingly in 2014, cancer came back and this time started on my beloved wife Sharon. Finally after an incredibly brave and inspirational fight, breast cancer won, and took Sharon’s life in December 2016, aged just 48. Sharon was my life, soulmate and superstar for over twenty-five years, and is missed more than words can ever express.

Cancer has also sadly taken several relations and partners of friends, as well as having a go at other family members and friends. Cancer has therefore changed my life forever, and may still yet decide to finish me off. Until then however, I very much want to help in any way that I can, to play my part in finding a cure for this wretched disease.

These tragic events were my reasons, for me to start raising money for cancer research, in memory of all those friends and loved ones throughout the world, suffering with, or that have been lost to cancer. In May 2017, Cancer Ninjas was born, and our fundraising started in August that year. My hope and belief is that by all doing a little, together we can achieve a lot.
