In today’s world, sadly you will be unlikely to find anyone who has not been, or does not know, someone affected by cancer. The statistics* make grim reading:
- One in two people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives.
- In the UK in 2014 there were around 357,000 new cases of cancer, that’s a depressing 980 cases diagnosed every day.
- There were around 163,000 cancer deaths in the UK in 2014, that’s a shocking 450 deaths every day.
- Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer.
- Every four minutes someone in the UK dies from cancer.
Cancer Ninjas fundraising helps our supported charity, Cancer Research UK, fund vital research into cures and treatments into all types of cancer. We hope to play our part in finding a cure for this awful disease and make these dreadful statistics just a distant memory of the past.

These clinical trials cover a wide range of treatments including radiotherapy, immunotherapy and chemotherapy, as well as cancer prevention, early diagnosis and screening.

Cancer Ninjas are dedicated to beating cancer through ground-breaking research. It is only through this research that we can unlock the potential cures for this devastating disease.
