Barry’s Ride London-Surrey 100 July 2018
Thank you for taking the time to visit my Cancer Ninjas fundraising page.
Prudential RideLondon on the 29th July is the world’s greatest festival of cycling. The 100, is a 100 mile pretty gruelling cycling event which will see 25,000 cyclists take on a cycling challenge like no other through London and Surrey, ending with a spectacular finish on The Mall in central London.
I have an annual fundraiser and this year Ride London is it – my mate Mike offered to buy me a uni-cycle for doing it after recent shoulder surgery (I am just keen for him to buy something, anything….and no I wont be doing it on a uni-cycle ?)
Our family, as many others, has been affected by cancer in recent years, hence for me this is the ideal and only choice of my fundraiser. I love to do endurance sports, such as Ironman, and shorter triathlons and of all the disciplines, cycling is my least favourite.
This challenge, (“on two wheels” Mike), will be difficult but nothing compared to challenges cancer patients go through daily. All money raised will be spent by Cancer Research UK into research into pioneering cures and treatments for all cancer types and support provided by volunteers / carers, who have become critical to this journey patients take on.
So please take the time to read up who we are at Cancer Ninjas, what we do and support those that rely on us through simply clicking through my page and donate….
Many thanks for your generosity and please remember to Gift Aid if you can.
