Our very own ‘Ninja Emily’ now at a CRUK funded lab.

One of very own, Ninja Emily, has just graduated and started work in the Northern Institute for Cancer Research, a CRUK funded lab in partnership with Newcastle University.

The department that she will be working for aims to identify new drug targets and helps with the development of new drugs in order to progress them to clinical trials. The group Emily will work within specialises in hormone-dependent cancers, such as prostate and breast cancer.

Congratulations therefore to Emily, and a great example to see how our fundraising helps CRUK fund such pioneering research.

Hopefully Emily’s generation will be the brains that at last finds the illusive cure to cancer.
