World Cancer Day Monday 4th February 2019

World Cancer Day is a day to unite in the fight against cancer. Every Unity Band worn, every pound donated and every gesture of support, will play an important part in beating cancer sooner.
£8,616.82 raised of which £505.50 was Gift Aid
75 Donations

Cancer Ninjas are again fundraising for World Cancer Day through a variety of activities:

  • Sales of Cancer Research UK’s World Cancer Day Unity Bands, through the placement of boxes of Bands in numerous corporate and retail locations.
  • In house corporate World Cancer Day events.
  • Direct collections in partnership with various Tesco’s stores on Saturday 2nd February.

If you too could place a box (as in the picture below), or even boxes, of 50 Unity Bands in multiple locations, where you can be confident of being able to ‘sell’ out a box, we would love to hear from you.

Last year boxes placed in busy offices, schools, gyms, hairdressers, doctors surgeries, hospitals, retirement homes, shops, beauty salons, post offices etc all sold well, but most of all they need the enthusiasm of the site, as well as good footfall.

The Unity Bands ‘sell’ for a suggested donation of just £2 each, and all proceeds got to Cancer Ninjas in aid of Cancer Research UK. The band box contains an integral money container for the donations.

We aim to send the boxes out along with supporting promotional posters to our fellow Ninjas from the middle of January, so as they can go on ‘sale’ for a couple of weeks leading up to World Cancer Day on the 4th February, and the week or so after.

There is no upfront cost to the box of bands and we will courier them out for free, but you do need to be confident that the location does have good footfall and an abundance of that magic enthusiasm!

If you wish to buy a single Unity Band then they can be purchased directly from Cancer Research UK from their online shop here or by visiting their retail stores.

Ninjas will also be invading various Tesco’s stores on Saturday 2nd February, so if you could help us with our direct collections in a Tesco’s convenient to you, please do let us know, as your help would be very welcome, as there are more stores than Ninjas!

As always, we are grateful for your support for this great campaign, which not only raises vital funding, but also creates critical cancer awareness.

Please do contact us to join in the World Cancer Day fun, your help would be hugely appreciated.

Please do also forward this page link to friends, family and colleagues to get them involved or download our Unity Band flyer here.

Thank you.

This money was raised in our workplace. A fair few members of our Team have gone through a tough time, with Family members suffering with Cancer and we thought it would be nice if we could to our part on raising some money towards it with your Unity Bands.
